Senior Pastor

Rodney Bistline has been in ministry for over 20 years, serving in a variety of volunteer and staff roles at various churches, ministries, and other people-oriented occupations—ranging from children’s pastor, to Youth For Christ club leader, to publication editor, to coffee house barista. He grew up in Shippensburg, PA and attended the Shippensburg First Church of God as a child and young adult. He is a 1999 graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High School. Rodney attended Shippensburg University for one year, before transferring to Messiah College (now Messiah University) in Grantham, PA to study Youth Ministry, and graduated in 2003. He went on to continue his education and moved to Findlay, OH to attend Winebrenner Theological Seminary, earning a master of divinity degree. Following his time in Ohio, he lived in western Pennsylvania for 5 years before returning to Shippensburg in 2015.


Rodney and his wife, Jennifer, have been married since 2004. They have five children: Rebecca (born 2009), Joel (2011), Leanna (2014), Ella & Greta (twins born 2017). In addition to family fun, Rodney enjoys being in nature, music, art, reading, watching movies, playing guitar, collecting Lego & Nerf toys, and traveling.
