Kids Christmas Activities

Hard to believe but it's right around the corner. We have several events that your child/ren might want to participate in. If so, please let our Director of Children's Ministries (Caulene Rogers) know. 1) We are gearing up to start practices for our Childrens Christmas Program and we are looking for kids who would like to have some extra fun this Christmas season. 2) We are looking for kids to march with our Church float in the parade on November 22nd. We need sheep and shepherds! 3) We will be having lots of kids fun at the 2nd annual Christmas market so come and check it out.

Join the Journey with God for November:

For our November reading, we will be reading Revelation, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd John, Jude, and Isaiah chapters 1-33.  A guide is located in The Gathering Place so you can keep track of what you are reading.

Community Night

Community Night is every Wednesday at 6:30 pm.  Keep looking for various fun night activities, bible studies, and various topical studies as the time approaches.

Wednesday Night Topical Studies:

November 20, Room 110, "Campus Ministry 101", Presenter Antonio Morton - Learn the importance of college students and in being a part of the life of the church. It can often feel awkward or uncomfortable talking to college students.  Antonio will be discussing how he engages college students in the life of the church.  You will be given an opportunity to share ideas as well.  Antonio would love to know who is interested in being on our Campus Ministry Committee, so that we can love college students faithfully!

December 4th, Room 110, "Alternatives to Traditional Tithing" Presenter Phil Ritchie - You will learn the biblical basis for tithing, and learn new ways to tithe. Careful planning can create  for some potential significant tax advantages. Learn how to get the most from our charitable income tax deduction, how to make contributions of common stock to avoid capital gains, how to give directly from your IRA and save too, and how to make specific charitable bequests.

Surviving the Holidays:

November 14th and December 3rd, 6:30 - 8:30 pm

The holiday season can be especially painful when you are grieving the death of a loved one. Surviving the Holidays can help prepare for the holidays and even discover hope for the future. We are offering this seminar two different dates in Room 10, lower level of the church.  The material is the same for both evenings.  You can register in The Gathering Place or your Sunday school class.
