Community Night Returns with Adult Classes on Wed. Sept 9th!

Covid-19 has impacted all of our lives in ways we never dreamed. Unfortunately it is also affecting our ability to start Community Night again, at least in its usual format. However, there is good news! Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 9th at 6:30 PM we will begin having Kinetics again and the Ladies In-step Bible Study.

Kinetics is an interactive time of worship, study, and discussion in the Scriptures. We will be doing a study called, "Stressed Out: The Things That Hound You." We will meet in the sanctuary for social distancing purposes.

Ladies In-step will also be meeting again in room 10. Join Joyce and the other ladies for a time of growth and support.

If you have never tried one of these, give one of them a shot and see what you've been missing.

GriefShare: Thursdays through Nov. 19th

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm    Please call to register: 717-532-8421.

GriefShare features biblical, Christ-centered teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, followed by a small group discussion about what was viewed.

Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when friends or family have returned to their daily life routines. Too often people, including Christians, tend to stuff their grief instead of allowing it to do the God-given work for which it is intended. Don’t allow fear of what others may think to keep you from what could help you. Confidentiality is very much a part of this program. You will find encouragement, comfort and help. No matter what the cause of your loved one’s death, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling. You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief and that you do not need to live in bondage to certain emotions. You will learn valuable information about facing your new normal in life and renewing your hope for the future.

We do not want you to walk this journey alone. GriefShare will be held on Thursdays, August 20 – November 19 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm in Shippensburg First Church of God Annex at the corner of Prince and King Streets. Our facilitators are Phil and Bonnie Myers.

AWANA- AWANA - 2020 Fall Schedule is still to be decided. Awana normally runs from August through April each year. Although we have a registration kick-off each year you can sign-up at anytime during the year. Because of the way the program is structured, your children will not be behind. We look forward to meeting you!
