GriefShare: Fridays - currently suspended until further notice

March 13 - June 5,  10:00 am - 12:00 Noon

GriefShare features biblical, Christ-centered teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, followed by a small group discussion about what was viewed.

Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when friends or family have returned to their daily life routines. Too often people, including Christians, tend to stuff their grief instead of allowing it to do the God-given work for which it is intended. Don’t allow fear of what others may think to keep you from what could help you. Confidentiality is very much a part of this program. You will find encouragement, comfort and help. No matter what the cause of your loved one’s death, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling. You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief and that you do not need to live in bondage to certain emotions. You will learn valuable information about facing your new normal in life and renewing your hope for the future.

We do not want you to walk this journey alone. GriefShare will be held on Fridays, March 13 – June 5 from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon in room 10 in the Lower Level of the Shippensburg First Church of God. Our facilitators are Lisa Murphy and Cherie Finkey.

Mega Sports Camp will not be held this summer due to Coronavirus safety precautions. However, we pray you will join us in July 2021.

"Faith labs@at Home":  Click here for promo video. A virtual VBS, from July 13th-17th. The five-day program contains five segments – scripture memory through song, two science devotions, a silly game, and a family science project. (Bonus items include outdoor games, science snack ideas, and a coloring book). The items needed for projects will be provided if you are willing to pick them up at the church. The open-ended projects and games could keep your family entertained for a whole evening, but each of the five day sessions could be completed in 30-40 minutes. While we will be participating in all elements of this project in our own homes, there will be plenty of ways to connect through daily family challenges and photo sharing and prizes. Bring your family together by participating in Faith Lab @ Home alongside our church family! Registration opens June 15th. Email childrensministries@shipfcog.org or call the church office at 717-532-8421.

AWANA- AWANA runs from August through April each year. Although we have a registration kick-off each year you can sign-up at anytime during the year. Because of the way the program is structured, your child/ren will not be behind. We look forward to meeting you!
